Hemp Foods by Manitoba Harvest

Hemp is considered a wonder food by vegans everywhere, labeled brain food by Dr. Oz and is even said to have the ability to save the planet.  Needless to say, if you haven't been utilizing this amazing resource then you're surely missing out.

Simply put, Hemp is a marvel with innumerable uses.  Let's focus on Hemp's nutritional benefits to see why it's hailed as a wonder food.

Hemp is high in protein and rich in omegas, the same EFA; Essential Fatty Acids, found in the human brain. Hemp also contains Gamma Linoleic Acid known as GLA.  A couple weeks ago I did some research on GLA and I found that it's a dieters friend.   Among it many benefits it has the ability to increase metabolism and aide the body to utilize stored fat as energy.  Low levels of GLA are even linked to obesity.

Since my goal is to get back into shape, I've wisely added Hemp Hearts by Manitoba Harvest into my daily diet.

Manitoba Harvest is a Canadian based company that has been in the business of producing hemp products since 1998.  Their products meet the strictest criterion and are certified organic.   I like that they use cold-pressed technology to process their hemp.  This technology is important because it keeps the hemp pure, thus protecting its nutritional properties.

Hemp Hearts are delicious, to me they taste like finely chopped walnuts.  I mainly use them to doctor up protein shakes and in cereal, but as you can see there are a ton of scrumptious things you can do with these versatile little seeds.

Hemp Hearts; A Dieter's friend

Because Hemp Hearts contain all good stuff including healthy fats they are proving to be a valuable diet companion.    My routine mainly consist of protein shake with Hemp Hearts for breakfast and lunch.  They're filling and help to keep me satisfied longer, so I'm able to keep my caloric intake low during the day.

The healthy fats, such as contained in Hemp Hearts are essential to keeping the body healthy as well as enabling the body to burn and better utilize stored fat.  If your looking for a tasty diet-friendly food packed with nutrients then you many want to check out Hemp Hearts.

LASH EM Mascara; Double the Length & Volume of Lashes

It took me years to find a mascara that I liked enough to wear on a regular basis.  What this mascara offered that its rivals lacked is revolutionary technology that rendered the mascara completely smudge proof as well as the amazing feature of being easily removed with just warm water.

You could say I was pretty satisfied with this mascara.  This is why I was reluctant to try Double Trouble Mascara from LASH EM, that I was sent for review purposes.

For starters I can say that Double Trouble isn't your drug store variety mascara, in spite of the reasonable price tag.  This is a high-quality mascara that goes on extremely easy and looks natural, but the piece de resistance is its two sides; one for volume and the other for length.

The double wand not only makes it easy to build thick full lashes, but because the length side is a finer brush it's actually quite versatile.  For instance, I use the finer brush for inner upper eyelashes and bottom lashes.   I prefer to have my outer lashes thicker, I think this really makes eyes pop while giving the eye a nice shape.

Oh but is it clump-free?  I gave this mascara a huge workout, literally sweat and all, and not one clump or smudge.  The formula contains some really nice ingredients such as grape seed extract and Swiss apple stem cells, as well as other conditioning ingredients that are said to nourish and hydrate lashes.

I'm also happy to say I had no problem removing this mascara.  I use face cleanser all around my eyes, no tugging or pulling, and then I use a wash cloth ever so lightly on my lashes then I rinse with warm water. That's it!

Needless to say, the Double Trouble Mascara by Lash Em will be replacing my other mascara.  At an average retail value of $19.99 it's almost twice as much as my 'other' mascara, but it's three times the quality, which makes it a good value.

You can find Double Trouble Mascara online at Amazon or Dermstore.
