Whole Fruit Sorbet; A Decadent Fat Free Treat

Not that long ago I had the opportunity to review Whole Fruit Smoothies by J&J Snack Foods.   They were fantastic.  I practice a vegan lifestyle most of the time and because the Smoothies contain milk,  I've had to exercise great restraint at the super market.  So I'm thrilled that the new Whole Fruit Sorbet are completely free of dairy.

I would describe these creamy fruity snacks as decadent.  They will be a new staple in my house along with the Luigi's Water Ice.  Yes even in the dead of winter.  The sorbets are comprised of mainly fruit and have a creamy rich texture and taste fantastic.

Cooking Light Magazine voted the Mango Sorbet as being one of the best Light Scoops of Summer.  They mentioned it's like eating a "fresh juicy mango".   The sorbet has the powerful flavor of a mango, but a much more enjoyable texture.  I love mangoes, but I much prefer enjoying this otherwise messy fruit in the form of a rich creamy dessert.   Still receiving the nutritional value of a mango and they're just about the same calories.

My three top favorites at the moment are the Black Cherry, Mango and Lemon, yet they are all really delicious.  Just keep in mind that there is four servings in one pint.  They may be fat free, but they're not calorie free.  I forgot this the other night when I consumed a whole pint.  

With real chunks of fruit, whole Fruit Sorbet is a healthier alternative to ice cream.  

I also discovered that they make the best mixed drinks.  I added the lemon to margarita mix, orange juice and seltzer for a wonderfully refreshing drink for the grownups.  

I really love the Whole Fruit Sorbet.  If you haven't tried these yet give em a chance, ya won't be disappointed.
