Spike Up Your Food With Flavor Not Fat

I use to always think that the best things in life were fattening, that was my old motto.  I've since learned that food doesn't have to be fattening to taste amazing.  For instance the best popcorn I ever tasted was free of butter and fat.  It was simply flavored with various herbs and spices and was a fraction of the calories as regular popcorn.  This is why I love using spices, the right spices can really enhance the flavor of food without the calories.

Spike Gourmet Natural Seasoning offers a really nice variety of spices, herbs and seasonings.

First, a little bit of what drew me to these spices

Spike Magic Seasonings were created by a renowned nutritionist and is produced by Modern Products Inc.,  a company which retains a high standard for their products. The spices are comprised of a myriad of herbs, spices and vegetables.   The soy used in some of the seasonings is non-GMO.   No fillers, fat or junk.

Spike offers ten different Seasonings to compliment every conceivable dish.

Some of my favorite Spike Seasonings include the Hot 'n Spicy, Original, Lemon Pepper, Garlic and Vege-Sal.

For lunch I had a plain salad consisting of leafy greens; similar to the image above, and I used the Garlic seasoning which is nothing more than pure, granular garlic and pure genius.  I also used a little Vege-Sal and that's it, no dressing.  The salad was delicious.

I love soup!  The vegetable soup above contains celery, onions, carrots, escarole, fresh garlic, a hot pepper and a little vegetable stock.  If you're familiar with weight watchers then you will appreciate that this is "free" or zero weight watchers points.  Simply adding a couple of the seasonings really gives this soup some well needed flavoring.  My fave for soups is the Vegit.    The Vegit contains salt, parsley, dill, mushroom powder, oregano,  basil and more.    It really does take the soup to another level.  It's very flavorful and satisfying without being fattening or caloric.

Can you believe I ate this whole pot by myself?! yes it was that good.  Next on my list is popcorn, not sure what seasoning I'll use, but I'm sure it will taste amazing.

The Spike Tenderizer Magic sounds like a "Must Have" for less tender cuts of meat - but I think the Spike Garlic Magic sounds like an essential in our house too. Of course, after reading the yummy sounding Romaine Tuna Spike recipe - I'll be needing the Original Magic as well,

(Aside: Your soup looks SO good - I can certainly understand why you ate it all yourself! - And now I know exactly what I'm going to be making for dinner tomorrow night - and I'll try to remember to make a double "recipe"...
