You heard it said that necessity is the mother of invention.  The mother behind Katz Gluten free bakery had a need to provide healthy alternatives for  her two gluten intolerant children. Not only would the end result of Mrs. Katz tireless work pass the strictest gluten free standards, they would exceed the taste expectations of the most finicky eaters.

One thing that makes Katz a cut above the competition is that they use only pure high quality  all natural ingredients in their products, thus their products are completely devoid of preservatives. Many would also appreciate that Katz's products are  dairy and nut free.

In the USA about 1 in 133 people suffer from Celiac disease.  The ramifications of gluten consumption for these folks can be devastating.   Having healthy and delicious alternatives makes this disease far more tolerable.

I was first introduced to Katz Gluten  Free via a blog win and I have been hooked on their delicious  assortment of baked goods ever since.  I will never forget the day I received my shipment and sampled the various cookies, cakes and breads.. it was absolute bliss.

Just recently Katz generously sent me some of their products that I  never before tried.  My intent was to get pictures to incorporate in my review, however my camera was misplaced and by the time it reappeared; a few days later, nothing was left. Not even a crumb.

I may not be gluten sensitive I do however appreciate great tasting high quality foods.  This is why I love Katz baked goods. I think they far surpass gluten products in taste.
