ALM Jewelry; Timeless Wearable Art

In spite of being a girly girl I've never been much into shoes or jewelry.  To many this may seem like a paradox, but hear me out.  I'm not about to sacrifice comfort for those highly sought after stilettos.  My feet are also on the wide side so this makes finding comfortable shoes challenging and time consuming.    Time better spent on the computer.

As far as jewelry goes, I'm just very picky.  I do have an appreciation for beautiful jewelry that is unique and special, not exactly something found in a catalog or at your local jewelry store.  That's the wonderful thing about the internet,  talented artisans from around the world can be found at your fingertips.  

Argentinian based Adriana Laura Mendez is one such artisan that caught my eye.  Her handmade jewelry is striking.  Adriana uses a crochet technique. Gold filled and sterling silver wire are interwoven to create a piece that is truly special.   This technique brings out the best in the the mediums used, thus the jewelry looks far more expensive than the actual price.  Mastering this method requires dedication, patience and of course natural skill.

This exclusive collection of jewelry has been described as "wearable art", I really like that description, it's very on point.  I would also add that these pieces emanate a classic elegance, certainly something to be handed to from generation to generation.

This show-stopping stunner is finely woven to create a delicate quality.   It's a very dressy piece, however, it's perfectly acceptable to wear with anything you please, if that's your desire.  Be prepared to receive a great deal of compliments.

I also really appreciate the easy clip which makes putting on the bracelet a breeze. It's also a very secure clip.   I don't have to worry about losing this lovely piece of jewelry. Oh the horror!

This is the type of jewelry that turns an otherwise ambivalent me into jewelry freak.  Definitely to be kept on your radar when looking for that special gift.
