Simple Green All Purpose Cleaner Review

For those of us that live in seasonal climates spring is a welcomed and appreciated season.   Warmth, flowers, long days, fresh produce, long walks, bare feet and suntans are just a few things I love about this time of year.

However, there's this one little tradition that I do every year that I refer to as 'spring cleaning';)  I don't mind this chore, I actually kind of enjoy spring cleaning.  I think the warmth and sunlight inspires me to clean.

Today with the help of Simple Green All Purpose Cleaner, I thoroughly cleaned the patio furniture and steps.

Before Simple Green became a household name it was actually used as an industrial cleaner.  Simple Green boast being non-toxic and biodegradable, however, it does contain Butoxyethanol and alcohol ethoxalate which are both said to be toxic.  It is the dilution of the product that makes it safe for consumer use.

Simple Green is very versatile.  You have total control over the concentration.  For tough jobs you would use more of the product and for light household cleaning you would use less.  I tend to be sensitive to cleaners, so I personally prefer using Simple Green outdoors.  However, it did do a good job at removing soap scum at low to medium intensity.

Now back to the patio.  The patio furniture needed to be replaced like three summers ago, very badly stained.   I diluted the product to medium strength and left it on for 15 minutes, then rinsed.  Some of the tougher stains I went over with product and brush; very little to no elbow juice, and viola!  all cleaned up.

The patio looks wonderful, this makes me happy because I would really love to get two more years out of that furniture.

Simple Green is a good value, it's concentrated so a little goes long way.  You can find Simple Green at Ace Hardware, Lowe's, Meijer, Benny’s and online at The Simple Green Store.
