Oral-B Professional Deep Sweep Toothbrush Is A Winner

Electric Toothbrushes are said to be a better way of achieving a thorough oral cleaning, yet a staggering eighty five percent of consumers still prefer manual toothbrushes.  Oral-B conducted this survey and they found that most people prefer the familiarity of the simple, to and fro motion of a manual toothbrush.   I think this would be more of a generational thing, since I'm the most familiar with the disposable battery operated toothbrushes.  I personally feel that even the disposable battery operated brushes provide a much better cleaning then a manual toothbrush.

To make the transition easier Oral-B developed the Professional Deep Sweep Triaction 1000.  The notable difference is that the brush head is shaped like a manual toothbrush.  I find that I really like this feature because the brush is a substantial size and thus covers more territory.  It's also designed to be used as a manual toothbrush, so the user is brushing in the same fashion as they would a manual toothbrush.

If you still prefer not to part with your manual brush then you may want to consider these facts.

Oral-B Professional Deep Sweep Triaction 1000

48,800 Bristle movements per minute
Removes 100% more plaque than manual toothbrushes
Removes 76% More plaque in hard to reach areas compared to the competition (Sonicare)

I love this toothbrush! it's very powerful and I feel as if I'm in the dentist office having my teeth professionally cleaned.  There are seven tiers of brushes and as the name suggest, these brushes go to work sweeping back and forth.

I  have the tendency to brush my teeth too hard which is bad for tooth enamel, so I appreciate that the Deep Sweep stops pulsating when too much pressure is applied to the teeth.

Back and Forth Sweeping Action

Rechargeable battery.  Can remain on charger without harm for convenience.

Oral hygiene is important to me, mainly because I have crappy dental insurance.  If you don't take good care of your teeth, then somewhere down the road it's gonna cost you.  This very powerful toothbrush is just what the dentist ordered to keep appointments at bay.  The average retail value for the Oral-B Deep Sweep Triaction 1000 is only sixty five dollars.  A brush head will last three months.  Surely a very wise investment.

Oral-B offers a two year warranty

I haven't used an electric toothbrush since I was a kid, so I'm not sure how to answer this question. If I had to wager a guess, I'd say that I'd prefer an electric toothbrush because I think it might help me brush longer.

I have been using an electric toothbrush since I met my husband. I got the kids one two years ago. Mine just died last week so I'm borrowing the kids (I have my own head). I'll be in the market for one when I get back to Canada.

I am a DIEHARD Oral B electric toothbrush fan!

Thanks for making this open to Canadians.
