Attaining A Flawless Complexion

People often want to know what I use on my skin.  The secret to good skin is a good skincare regime, however, I still find that more is needed to really take my complexion to the next level in order for it to appear flawless or beautiful.

I've searched high and low for a good vegan foundation or face tint as well as concealer.  I have not found any that compliment my skin.  The quality of the product tends to be inferior and often the color just isn't natural.  Don't even get me started on vegan concealers.  I have found products that I love that are not vegan.  So that's my caveat to those vegans that read my blog.  I've compromised for beauty.

How to Attain a beautiful complexion

My secret for attaining a flawless finish is to mix tinted or light foundation with moisturizer.  That's it!   As far as product, I found that product quality does make a difference.  I had been using a high-end tinted moisturizer that was on the costly side, it was kinda my splurge.  I've since found something that I simply love that offers better quality of ingredients as well as a much lower price tag.

Masking the skin is not the answer

I'm not a fan of thick foundations or "pancake" makeup. They give the complexion an unnatural and unflattering appearance.  Most women really only need a light coverage to give us a healthy natural glow.

The Sheer Tint Base from Glow Minerals is comprised of various antioxidants and minerals.  I think of it as being a cream or liquid counterpart to powdered mineral makeup. I'm not a fan of powdered mineral makeup.  I don't like that there is a process to applying the powder and more importantly I don't like the actual affect on my skin.  On the other hand,  the gloSheer Tint Base provides a nice glow that can be enhanced with moisturizer to give it a more dewy effect.

I do like the dewy glow, but on its own this is the perfect light foundation.  This can also be layered for a more dramatic coverage.  A definite winner.

..But what about those dark Under eye circles?

I'm in love the with the Glo Minerals Under Eye Concealer.  It's a nice creamy consistency that provides thorough coverage for even the most stubborn dark circles.   Easy to apply and the double hue makes it foolproof.  I have this habit of rubbing my eyes throughout the day and I found that concealers that I've used in the past, and even most recently, irritate my eyes.    I'm not having that problem with this concealer.  The coverage is very natural and I like using the darker hue on my lids.
