I think using toys for learning is a great idea. Anything that makes learning fun is wonderful! Thanks so much for the fantastic giveaway! [email protected]
The key to children learning is taking an interest in whatever they are doing. You could be playing with pots & pans & lids and doing a counting game. Just have fun. And bright colors work great. [email protected]
I use toys all the time! In fact, the ones not intended superficially to be educational can be just as useful as the educational ones. For example, I'm trying to teach my kids Spanish. The most useful thing has been UNO. I just started saying the number names as I lay them down, and the color names every time there's a color change. They learned their colors super quick without me ever have to "teach" them. I also added started using some Spanish phrases related to the game and they picked that up...and it even opened up opportunities for me to talk about verb endings without them rolling their eyes at me and asking me when this was going to be done.
I love learning toys my grandchildren only have these kinds of toys my daughter is a big believer in them and we only gift learning toys I would love to win these for my 4 grand kids
Toys are a great way to hold a child's attention. And once a lesson is taught well, each time the child plays with that particular toy, what they have learned will be reinforced again. s2inamug at aim dot com
Toys capture a child's attention unlike anything else, so to make them educational only makes sense to me :) Lego blocks, art kits, even barbies with clothes are educational in a sense.....so fill your child with toys and don't feel bad about it! :)
As a teacher, I have found that toys can be wonderful teaching tools! I seek out toys that are fun but also have something that children can learn from them.

I think that kids can learn a lot from toys.
I'm always more likely to buy a toy if it can teach my kids something.

Toys are an integral part of learning, especially in the early years.

I purposely look for toys that are educational for my daughter. 2 birds one stone kind of thing. I think it is great.
