Organic Herbal Coffee by Ayurvedic Roast Review

I like to start mornings off with coffee. It is a combination of needing something to get me going as well as the oral fixation of holding on to something warm to sip throughout the morning. My coffee habit has increased from one cup to nearly three cups a day and now I am starting to crave it in the afternoons.

I desired to break free from this habit because coffee is acidic and tends to irritate my stomach. Decaffeinated coffee is no better because it is equally acidic and contains Trichloroethylene which is actually considered to be a harmful chemical. Also coffee is addictive and I was becoming immune to caffeine as a result I found myself needing more coffee. So my goal was to reduce my coffee intake to a one cup a few times a week . So far so good.

The option I chose was an organic, antioxidant infused coffee substitute called Ayurvedic Roast. Let me tell you about Ayurvedic Roast.

Andrew Voskov is the creator and founder of Ayurvdic roast and likewise desired a healthier alternative. Mission accomplished!

Ayurvedic Roast combines the standard eastern European mixture of barley, rye, and chicory and adds the Ayurvedic herbs ashwagandha, shatavari, and brahmi. Each of these herbs on their own are beneficial, however, they are syngestcally blended and measured for optimal benefits.

Ayurvedic Roast is 100% Organic and Caffeine Free

I have been reading up on some of these ingredients and I found that one of the many benefits of chicory root is that it's a natural probiotic. I thought this was interesting since I recently discovered how critical a healthy gut is to overall health. Barley is high in fiber and also contains many health benefits. Other benefits include:

1. Ashwagandha:  Maximizes the body's ability to resist stress
2. Shatavari:  Cooling , calming, nourishing and purifying herb
3. Brahmi:  Brain tonic and nerve soother

This phenom blend is truly remarkable. And the tastes passes with flying colors. I have tried herbal coffee substitutes in the past that I hated so I was pleasantly surprised with the taste.  There is also no nasty aftertaste, it's just a nice pleasant drink that could fool quite a few folks into thinking it were the real deal.

Ayurvedic blend was Awarded the People's Taster Choice Award. This also received high praise from folks who are die-hard coffee drinkers. You may have to play around with the strength and method, I average one tablespoon for three full cups.

Ayuvedic Roast Was Awarded the People's Taster Choice Award

The more I drink Ayurvedic Roast the more I prefer it over traditional coffee. It's smooth and unlike coffee it's easy on your stomach and of course beneficial to your health.

I love that this product has chicory root. Chicory root is a great substitute for coffee: tastes good, easily renewable, found in lots of climates--and it happens to look beautiful when it's growing!

"This stuff is amazing! It really tastes like a clean, mild, exotic cup of coffee! And its good for you! I love it! I shared it with friends and family and it was gone in less than a week. We love the stuff. I tried drinking that 'other' coffee substitute for 4 days.... but this is so much better

I visited their site and, since I'm a vegan what really caught my attention is the awesome ingredients especially the Ashwagandha:
Known as the the "ginseng of India", this incredible herb promotes strength and stability in the physiology, and is also an anti-oxidant. It builds immunity and strength, and calms the mind and body.
