Last night was a big night for all X Factor fans because we learned of which contestants will be in the finales. So who are the final three acts?
The first act called to make it through proved to be quite the shock for the judges and the audience, but it was Britney that gave us a million dollar face.
Pure, heartfelt and completely unaltered for the camera. This is the kinda transparency we love with live television.
Thank you Fifth Harmony for providing such an entertaining moment. In contrast to Britney's reaction, L.A. Reid's shocked reaction manifested as sheer amused awe for Simon's near impossible accomplishment, that is, bringing this girl group to the finales.
Who else made it through? L.A.'s mentee country crooner Tate Stevens as well as Britney's thirteen year old vocal phenom Carly Rose. No shock there.
Comparing Emblem 3 to the Beatles was just poor taste
Emblem 3 said goodbye last night. While I saw their appeal and can easily see them as teen heartthrobs I have a hard time digesting the Beatles comparison after they performed their hyped up rendition of Hey Jude. Sure the Beatles were heartthrobs and so were dozens of flash in the pan entertainers. That is where the comparison stops! I can't help wonder if that's what hurt their chances of making it through the finale.
X Factor winners of the past include Leona Lewis who won on the third season while One Direction came in forth in season seven. Other winners are doing quite well in the UK where the show retains the most success.
