Delicious Vegan Foods from Follow Your Heart

At the moment I would love to be dining at the Follow Your Heart Market & Cafe in Canoga Park Located in the heart of  Los Angeles California.  The west coast seems to have the monopoly on delicious vegan/vegetarian establishments.   It would be nice if some of that brilliance would spread to the east coast.

 Follow Your Heart Market and Cafe has been going strong for over thirty years.  They feature fresh organic produce and natural foods; both vegan and vegetarian that are free of pesticides and are non-GMO.  Among the items sold are their very own unique line of vegan foods that include vegan condiments, vegan cheeses and vegan meats. 

In the back of the market you will find the cafe that is packed on a daily basis by vegans and vegetarians and even omnivores. However, you won't find meat, poultry, fish or eggs in any of their dishes.  The only animal product you will find is dairy, but you are always given a vegan option of the same dish.

You don't have to be a vegan to appreciate Follow Your Hearts delicious entrees, side dishes, desserts, soups, salads and sandwiches.  After reading a ton of reviews, I can say the food is consistently fantastic.  Fresh, organic ingredients does make a difference when it comes to flavor.

Follow Your Heart uses their own vegan-alternative foods and condiments to compliment all their dishes.

Vegenaise; vegan mayonnaise

I had the privilege of trying their Reduced Fat Vegenaise. Vegenaise is a vegan alternative for Mayonnaise.  The first ingredient in the Reduced Fat Vegenaise is Hi-Oleic Safflower Oil.   Not only is this an anti-oxidant but it is said to aide in weight loss. Vagenaise also contains Tapioca Starch, Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic Soy Beans, Olive Oil, Cold-Pressed Flaxseed Oil, Sea Salt, Agave Syrup, Lemon Juice Concentrate, Mustard Flour.

I love Vageniase, it's actually very creamy.  I tried the reduced fat and that taste as good as regular mayonnaise, but without the gross factor or cruelty.  The gross factor being the genetically modified eggs, which is present in traditional store-bought mayo.
