Texas is a large state that offers varied topography. From breathtaking mountains, deserts, marshland, and oceans, there is truly something for everyone.
The locals are also diverse as well as gregarious and hospitable. It's no secret; or surprise, that Texans love Texas! and it's no surprise that Texas is said to be one of the top US states to live. Beauty, diversity, and a lower cost of living. Yes Texas has it all.
If you live in Saint Paul, Minnesota you have an opportunity to visit Texas on Tour. A unique interactive road show that offers some very fun activities such as virtual beach and Kayaking adventure. The dates are 8/25 to 8/28.
Would you like to win a trip to Texas? Enter the Texas Tour Sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip to Texas for two. You have until September 4, 2011 at 11:59pm ET to get your entries in, I entered and I'm hoping to win:)
There are many beautiful cities in Texas. My preference for vacationing are the beaches on the coastline. A little in further from the coastline is San Antonio Texas. This is a place I would like to live.
San Antonio is a lovely city with some major attractions. Visit the historical Alamo or have a day of fun at Seaworld.
The Riverwalk is simply stunning! This awesome attraction boast pubs, nightclubs, restaurants and more. To learn more visit visitsanantonio.com .
We can't talk about Texas without mentioning the food now can we?
I think we can all agree that Texas owns chili. Louisiana has gumbo, India has Chutney, Italy has pasta, Thailand has Pad Thai, Boston has Boston Cream Pie, etc....and Texas has their spicy chili.
I have a Texas Chili Kit to giveaway to one of my readers so you can make authentic Texas chili. This kit contains Chili mix, condiments, hot sauce and the most amazing spices, the retail value is $50. I made the most delicious vegan chili. Feel free to email me for vegan alternatives.

My oldest friend lives on the outskirts of Houston. Would be nice to win a little something that would, in a sense, bring me a little closer to her even though we are miles apart.

My son is at the medical school in Galveston--another great small city. My mother is in San Antonio--world class place to visit.

I love vegan chili. I usually put at least three different types of legumes in mine, including lentils. This would be great for helping me to spice it up, because really chili isn't chili unless it's hot.
